Chandradeo Narayan College, Sahebganj was established in 1969 by the efforts of Late Chandradeo Narayan Singh of nearby village Parsauni with the help of other imminent persons of this locality like Late Vaidyji, Mishraji, Shailendra Babu, Lallu Babu, Krishna Chandra Pd. Singh etc.
The whole landed property of main College donated by Late Late Chandradeo Narayan Singh. The college is proud of Ex Principal & Teacher Prof. Krishna Chandra Pd. Singh. The College is affiliated to B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur in August 1980. It is recognized under 2(f) & 12B UGC Act in 1974 and approved.
Last four years for C.N. College, Sahebganj are very important for infrastructural development and increasing number of students. The construction of two buildings has been started and finished.
Construction, extension and completion of renovation are completed and under construction during last 4 years. Creation of website of the college, computerization of the office, computer labs and e-Library, starting of e-learning, e-library, drinking water supply system, power supply system by high power generators, improvement of sports facilities are the other progressive works.
Various academic and co-curricular activities have restored the confidence of the surrounding community and we wish to march in progressive way to serve the society by producing quality graduates with employable skills like Computer Literacy, Positive Discrimination and personality development. Today C.N. College has made a long stride. Having a sprawling campus of about 10 acres with a total built up area of 16980 Sq. mtrs, the college runs full time courses up to Under-Graduate level in sixteen subjects of Arts & Science.
The college has a separate BCA course under self-financing mode. The College is also proud of the fact that the majority of its students belong to the marginalized sections of the society– SC, ST, OBC, Minorities and Women & BPL categories. With our limited resources special care is being taken of these sections in the form of UGC sponsored Remedial Classes, Entry in Services Coaching, Career Counseling and various Scholarship & Stipend schemes of the State government, UGC and Govt. of India.
With the generous financial support of the UGC an advanced UGC Network Resource Centre has been developed which is well-equipped with latest electronic gadgets like PCs, Laptops, Printers, Xerox Machine, Projectors, Internet Connectivity, Sound-System, Digital Camera etc. It is accessible not only to the faculty but also to the majority of students of the college. Installation of E-Granthalay and N-List software are under process. We have also a strong unit of NSS which has time and again indulged in such meaningful programs as awareness campaign, plantation work & several other social works.
